Shelby Events

"SHELBY DISPLAY" - 1st April 2012

1bJust recently on sunday the 1st. of april, the A.O.M.C. conducted their annual American Car Show which over 500 vehicles attended. At this year's show, the Shelby Display was the main feature.

Over 150 Mustangs and 13 Shelbys were on display. Shelbys ranged from a '66 GT-350 Hertz to a 2011 Supersnake. The weather on the day was fantastic which resulted in a great attendance of fine automobiles.

2bI was asked to talk about the Shelby Display on the day with the car show's media announcer which i was more than happy to do so, anything to promote the Shelby movement in Australia.

The support of the Shelby owners was great leading up to the show which makes a Shelby Display a positive in all ways you look at it.  

Thanks to the Shelby owners and the A.O.M.C. for their support and look foward to next years show in 2013.

Shelby Nationals in Melbourne

At the recent Shelby Nationals in Melbourne, Victoria, there were 22 Shelby's on display which is the highest number of Shelby's ever at an event.  At last years, Vic. State Mustang Round-Up, there were 16 Shelby's that attended.

The Shelby's at this years event ranged from 1965 to 2011.
There were 4 Shelby's judged on the day and all 4 received Gold Awards.
Steve Lond '68 Black Shelby GT-350,
Nez Demaj '67 Green Shelby GT-500,
Joe Calleja '65 White Shelby GT-350
Rob Garnsworthy Red '66 Shelby GT-350.

Joe Calleja brought to the event 4 Shelby's and 2 Original AC Cobra's which I thought was a great effort. The support from the Shelby owners was fantastic leading up to the event and also on the day, which I appreciated.
It's, Shelby Owners like Joe and others that make a Shelby Event very successful on the day. I thank them all for their support as well as the National Mustang Owners Club of Australia and of course S.A.A.C.
